Making Use of My Rusty M.A. Thesis

I was awarded my Master of Arts degree in 2023. My research focused on the measured benefits of a daily journal practice on the health and well-being of caregivers of dependent children with special medical needs. Since then, I’ve continued the practice, but I’ve also learned so much more about the use of journaling as a tool. My response and approach have developed over the years. I’ve journaled in one way or another on and off for decades, but since my thesis work, I’ve come to the practice with more intention than ever before. I decided that, in a world that feels insane most days, I had a tiny chance to contribute a bit. Maybe I could help support people a bit in showing up for themselves every day. Even a few minutes can bring peace and comfort. At the very least it’s a place to vent and be heard, if only by your self. So I invite you to click the link to my Substack newsletter where I’ve started a 30 day, daily journal writing prompt series. It is my deepest hope that this could help someone begin a small daily ritual that could provide some comfort in these disturbing times.

The only problem: what to do with all those old journals when you’re done with them? Please, let me know!

too many old journals!
